National News:

  • The November elections were of high importance. A Presidential election was set to occur in November 1852. The ballots were closely examined in the elections of November 1851, which was sure to have an impact on the following year.

International News:

  • Great Britain took possession of the Island of Ambergris, of the coast of Honduras.
  • Alexander Humboldt made an archeological discovery in Athens. Evidence was found where sessions of the Council of Five Hundred were held.
